In this portfolio project, I selected Nike as the subject of my Quality Assurance (QA) testing endeavor. The purpose of this project was to apply my skills and knowledge as a QA tester to assess the functionality and overall quality of Nike's digital platforms.
🔸Project Overview:
For this QA testing project, I conducted a comprehensive evaluation of Nike's website and related applications. My primary focus was on ensuring a seamless user experience, identifying any potential bugs or issues that could impact functionality for a customer.
🔸Testing Approach:
I employed a funtional testing in this project. I systematically examined different aspects of the website and testing navigation, links, and other critical functionalities.
🔸Tools and Techniques:
To carry out this project, I utilized a couple of QA testing tools and techniques. Detailed bug reports were generated for any identified issues, including descriptions, steps to reproduce, and screenshots. In order to manage my development process more effectively, I utilized JIRA as my primary bug-tracking tool. This allowed me to easily track bugs and issues. Additionally, I used Notion to create detailed test cases that would help to ensure the quality of the software. By leveraging the comprehensive features of Notion, I was able to create detailed test cases that were easy to understand and execute, which helped to identify issues quickly and efficiently.
🔸Project Outcomes:
Through this QA testing project, I gained practical experience in identifying potential issues that could impact user experience and also more experience in creating test cases, as well as executing and reporting any issue by using JIRA and Notion sheet, which is like a process in the daily life of a tester in a company. The insights generated from this project can be valuable for Nike's continuous efforts to enhance the quality and reliability of its digital platforms.
What I also learned in this process is that a company as big as Nike can have defects when it comes to navigation, and this highlights the importance of QA when developing websites, in order to provide a better quality final product.
